Vous étudiez aux cycles supérieurs à Polytechnique Montréal?

La Bibliothèque, en collaboration avec l’Association des étudiant·es aux cycles supérieurs de Polytechnique (AÉCSP) vous invite à une séance de Rédaction intensive communautaire (RIC) tenue spécialement pour vous. Celle-ci vous permettra d’optimiser vos pratiques rédactionnelles et d’avancer votre projet d’études dans une ambiance motivante tout en créant des liens avec vos collègues de la communauté étudiante des cycles supérieurs. La séance débutera avec une brève présentation sur la technique Pomodoro et les objectifs SMART. Ensuite, nous enchaînerons avec 4 x 50 minutes de rédaction entrecoupées de pauses de 10 minutes, selon un format développé par l’organisme Thèsez-vous. Deux bibliothécaires seront sur place pour animer l’atelier et vous assister.

Déroulement de l’atelier

8 h 30 – 8 h 40 : Installation

8 h 40 – 9 h : Introduction à la technique Pomodoro et aux objectifs SMART (en français)

  • *Si vous avez déjà reçu cette formation, vous pouvez arriver à 9 h.

9 h – 9 h 10 : Pause et rédaction d’objectifs SMART

9 h 10 – 13 h : 4 x 50 minutes de rédaction, entrecoupées de 10 minutes de pause

  • Café, thé et viennoiseries offertes par l’AÉCSP pendant les pauses

Consignes importantes

  • L’inscription est obligatoire
  • Arrivez avec une idée de sur quoi vous souhaitez travailler pour la durée de l’atelier.
  • Apportez votre ordinateur portable ou empruntez-en un au Comptoir de services de la Bibliothèque.
  • Vous pouvez arriver seulement pour la rédaction (à 9 h). Aucune admission dans la salle une fois la rédaction débutée.
  • Atelier offert à la communauté étudiante des cycles supérieurs de Polytechnique Montréal.

 

Intensive Community Writing Workshop (ICW)

Completing graduate studies at Polytechnique Montréal?

The Library, in collaboration with Polytechnique’s Graduate Student Association (AECSP), invites you to an Intensive Community Writing (ICW) session held especially for you. This session will allow you to optimize your written communication practices while working on your research project in a motivating atmosphere that allows you to bond with other graduate students. The workshop will begin with a brief presentation on the Pomodoro Technique and SMART Goals (in French). We will then carry on with 4 x 50 minutes writing sessions intersected by 10-minute breaks (structure developed by the non-profit organization Thèsez-vous). Two librarians will be there to conduct the workshop and assist you.

Workshop schedule

8:30 – 8:40: Setting up

8:40 – 9:00: Introduction to the Pomodoro Technique and SMART Goals (in French)

  • *If you already received this information, you may arrive at 9:00.

9:00 – 9:10: Short break and time to write down your SMART Goals

9:10 – 1:00: 4 x 50 minutes writing sessions, intersected by 10-minute breaks

  • Coffee, tea and pastries offered by Polytechnique’s Graduate Student Association (AECSP) during breaks.

Important Guidelines

  • Registration is mandatory
  • Come prepared: identify in advance what you wish to focus on for this workshop.
  • Bring your own laptop or borrow one at the Library’s Service Desk.
  • It is possible to join the group only for the writing sessions. In that case, arrive at 9:00 a.m. No admissions once the writing session begins.
  • This workshop is offered to Polytechnique Montréal’s graduate students.
