About David Mendes, PhD
Having completed his PhD in 2010, David became a solopreneur offering specialized translation and medical writing services in the biomedical domain, a space where he could use his language skills, as well as his scientific background. He then launched the Papa PhD podcast, now called Beyond the Thesis With Papa PhD, where since 2019 he has interviewed over 200 PhD about their post-PhD journey.

Goals
This workshop will allow you to:

  • Structure your talk for maximum clarity;
  • Use storytelling to make your message memorable;
  • Apply simple techniques to improve your vocal delivery and body language;
  • Design slides that support your narrative;
  • Handle Q&A sessions with confidence and professionalism.

Instructions

  • This workshop is offered to all Polytechnique Montréal's community.
